Pakistan Update

Situation is not too good in Pakistan.
Phone lines and internet access have been blocked all over Pakistan, most or all, it is unconfirmed, news channels have been pulled off air.

The President is to address the nation and the world to in some way justify his imposition of martial law.

More updates to come when the continually delayed address is finally made.

There is a clarification coming in.
This, according to a former Indian envoy to Pakistan is NOT EMERGENCY but MARTIAL LAW for EMRGENCY is a constitutional measure to be put in place with Cabinet approval, this has been done by an Army chief.

Chief Justice Ifthikar Choudhary has been sacked.
There are speculative rumours coming in that he has been taken to an undisclosed location by troops from his Supreme Cour chambers.
All private news channels have been taken off air.
Justice Dogar has taken over.

India regres the declaration of martial law.
US State Department refuses comment.
